Events Contemporary Global Challenges: Reflections from Politics, Sociology, and Philosophy

October 22nd, 2024. 15:30~18:00 JST

Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture (Room 217), Nagoya, Japan; Zoom

We live in a precarious, globally entangled world. Academics can no longer remain in ivory towers as mere theoreticians oblivious to the contemporary contexts we all live in. In this workshop, we gather three academics who reflect on contemporary political issues from theoretical perspectives. The aim of the workshop is to engage academics in discussing contemporary issues from their own theoretical backgrounds. The theme is deliberately broad to foster discussions among thinkers from different academic backgrounds.
